TASTING NOTES
Deep dark color with an opaque core, delicate purple rim.
Opulent, ripe berry fruit on the nose, bitter chocolate, finely underlaid smoky spice notes, some liquorice, black cherries, a hint of figs and orange zest, currant herb.
Wonderfully dense and complex on the palate, wonderfully ripe fruit bouquet, sweet extract, juicy tannins, full-bodied and yet beautifully balanced, berry confit, reminiscent of roasted plums, chocolaty finish of fine nougat with a pleasant, roasted finish and lots of fruit melting.
A really great wine, animating to drink with wonderful length and a lot of ageing potential!
